BEST PRACTICE: A Mid-Survey Reminder from Human Resources

Survey Monkey reports that users of their platform have sent up to 40 reminder emails to get participants to complete a single survey. Okay, don't do that. But, it will likely be necessary to send multiple reminders throughout your survey project because, guess what? Your employees are busy working hard to increase business for you. And, they may think the survey will take longer than it actually will. That's why it's a good idea to clearly communicate how long the survey will take them. Remember to also reiterate that this a highly secure and confidential survey and that each respondent's anonymity will always be protected. Another strategy to boost response rates for your employee engagement and satisfaction survey is to encourage your management team to schedule blocks of "open time" for employees to complete their surveys-- time free of mandatory meetings and other distractions to keep them from focusing on completion of their survey.
